Beyond these prestigious titles, he is fundamentally a photographic artist whose journey began amid the transformative period of China in the 1980s.
Born in the culturally rich land of Qilu, Zheng's refined and profound artistic sensibility was deeply influenced by the Confucian traditions of his birthplace. A graduate of Qingdao University’s Academy of Fine Arts (Photography Department), he studied under esteemed mentors, inheriting a legacy of artistic excellence. Specializing in portrait photography, Zheng expertly employs dynamic lighting techniques and diverse perspectives to reveal the authentic essence of his subjects, both human and commercial.
Currently based in Shanghai, Zheng serves as an adjunct professor at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts.
