The Old Summer Palace is widely rewarded as the garden of all gardens, which contains the crystalization of all gardens' styles in both China and western countries. Unfortunately, the Old Summer Palace had been dramatically ruined by the Eight-Nation Alliance in history, causing irreversible losses for the worldwide garden cultures. The International Garden-Culture Research Studio is developed aiming at bridging the garden culture communication between China and other countries, maenwhile, reshaping a modern utopia for visitors to experience and learn more about traditional gardens.Therefore, the studio would be a complex for experts' living, cutural communication, education, sightseeing and relaxing. The construction and plan program are based on the researches toward traditional gardens, using a modern way to reintegrate the gardens' space.
