Bangkok Design Week 2025, under the theme “Design Up+Rising: ออกแบบพร้อมบวก+”, reflects accessible creativity rooted in everyday life. Based on the idea that “design is all around you” the key visual combines familiar elements of Thainess with bold imagination. The “+” symbol represents unity, diversity, and the power of collaboration to create something new. The design evolves across three phases over five months—beginning with clean black-and-white linework, transitioning into vivid, striking color, and culminating with added depth, light, shadow, and texture. It is also categorized into visual themes inspired by Thailand’s multicultural identity: Western, Chinese, and Middle Eastern influences—signifying Thai people’s adaptability and cultural fluidity. The key visual is designed to be accessible to both the general public and the design community, using familiar elements from daily life to tell a relatable story. With a clear phase-based plan, the visual was developed using digital techniques like rendered textures and depth, designed for flexible use across media. AI generative tools were integrated to enhance agility and modernize the design process. It evolves across three phases over five months to maintain freshness and adaptability across multiple platforms—online media, events, and participatory marketing. The layout takes cues from traditional Thai printed materials such as merit certificates and yantras, blending formal structure with handcrafted charm. It invites both the general public and the design community to connect with a contemporary yet distinctive visual approach—one that sets itself apart from conventional local design and affirms its place as a deeply considered creation for Bangkok Design Week 2025.
