This is a two-phase school project. In the first phase, we are required to design a set of furniture with main material to be wood, as well as the inclusion and resolution of the contradiction between stability and instability. In the second phase, the outcomes of the first stage needed to be integrated with architecture, and we were required to design a new building or select an on-campus building for reconstruction.I chose the student dormitory. This dormitory suffered from severe inequality in lighting and ventilation. The tension cables on the facade will bring a sense of lightness and tectonic beauty. An open balcony is designed for each unit, with a glazed facade that ushers in daylight. There will be the possibility of activities taking place under the floating detachable membrane structure roof.
