Digital Strata examines the human computer interaction patterns we are quickly losing as technology advances. Three works are presented as archaeological specimens: Loading, Input, and Authentication. Each pairs a fading interaction with the one replacing it. The viewer moves a cursor across a pixelated, low resolution surface. A portal follows the cursor and reveals the present beneath. The interaction itself becomes an act of digital excavation. The technical implementation uses real-time canvas pixelation, video layering, and clip-path masking to produce the effect live in the browser. This work speaks directly to the intersection of design and technology. It asks what we lose when a way of interacting becomes obsolete, and what happens to the small acts of patience and attention that shaped how a generation related to its machines.
