About the Artist

Ren Wei

As a student architect, my philosophy centers on the profound impact of morphological order on human behavior and perception. I believe architecture is not a collection of static forms, but a structured script that choreographs the rhythm of human movement. Informed by my background as an athlete, I treat spatial arrangement as a form of physical discipline. I focus on the choreography of natural light to influence human behavior—using the interplay of light and shadow to guide movement, evoke stillness, and define the soul of a space. By harmonizing spatial structures with natural laws, I aim to create pure, monumental "healing spaces". These spaces act as anchors for the soul, guiding individuals back to a grounded sense of self-existence within the clarity and permanence of architectural order.
