Not a one-off website, but an operating system
From day 1, we designed for content scale, long-term maintenance cost, and system extensibility, avoiding the common trap of “launch now, rebuild later.”

Design as product thinking
Beyond front-end presentation, we delivered a complete system: CMS structure, content workflows, file management, subscriptions, and lead retention, laying the foundation for platform growth.

Built so the client can run it independently
Through clear structures, templated pages, modular components, and comprehensive documentation, the ArAsia team can continuously operate and expand the platform without ongoing design dependency.

Project background
ArAsia is a content-driven platform with global reach and deep industry expertise, built on years of work in architecture and art. The team has accumulated a highly valuable professional network and dataset:
3,000+ architecture and design firms;
120,000+ architects;
16,000+ projects
The goal was to platformize these long-term assets—using curated cases, in-depth coverage, and cross-disciplinary perspectives to attract a global professional audience, while enabling clear commercial outcomes through premium events, partnerships, and subscription models.
Core Challenges
1
Ultra-short launch timeline
The initial requirement was a 2-week launch, with only high-level ideas and a loosely defined framework. Key decisions around platform scope, content structure, and long-term operations had not yet been clarified and needed to be aligned rapidly.

2
Fragmented requirements and unclear priorities
The client brought a large amount of content, ideas, and expectations, but without a consolidated understanding of what the platform should prioritize, how content should be structured, or which features were essential for launch versus future phases.

3
Platform-level system, not a marketing landing page
This was not a disposable website, but a system requiring ongoing operations, scalability, and cost control, raising the bar for CMS architecture and technical feasibility.

4
High demand for client self-maintenance
The system needed to remain professional while significantly lowering the learning curve for future editing, updates, and expansion.
