International Juried Exhibition: Fractured Horizons
May 16-23th, 2025
PI Art Center Gallery, New York
Fractured Horizons is a multidisciplinary art exhibition that serves as a platform to explore the complex interplay between the industrial legacy of human-centric built environments and the speculative futures of posthuman spaces. This exhibition invites artists to reflect on humanity's evolving relationship with artificial environments, delving into the aesthetic, ethical, and existential dimensions of this transformation.
How do the remnants of industrial prosperity intersect with the realities of urban decay? What new possibilities emerge when spaces are no longer defined by human dominance but are shaped by AI, automation, and ecological systems? By addressing themes such as transformation, decentralization, and contradiction, our exhibition seeks to unravel fragmented narratives from the past while imagining hopeful new horizons for the future.
Artists are encouraged to submit projects that explore the following themes:
Legacy and Rupture: Examine the impacts of industrialization on man-made landscapes, reflecting on both prosperity and ecological fractures.
Horizons of the Posthuman City: Envision cities and spaces where human centrality gives way to systems shaped by technology and ecology.
Fractured Narratives: Present works that capture the tensions between nostalgia for industrial pasts and anxiety about speculative futures.
