How to evaluate a partner in one working session

In tests, users requested a faster “New Regular Shift” action instead of clicking on blank calendar cells every time.They also depended on templates for weekly/monthly reuse, requiring batch apply and pre-publish preview.
This “one-off flexibility + reusable templates” pattern came from real workflows, not persona guesses.
Users emphasized precise hour calculations, including auto lunch deduction and seamless sync with existing time systems.
The pain wasn’t just “can we schedule,” but “will this data flow cleanly into payroll/compliance without rework?” We designed for cross-system throughput.
“Accidental over-scheduling/overtime” surfaced as a frequent risk.
We added overtime warnings and preventive UI (e.g., Overtime tag) so managers can adjust while scheduling, not discover problems later.
Research depth means designing to observe behavior, embedding the right signals in context, speeding common actions, and preventing the errors that actually happen. That’s what moves conversion in complex B2B environments.

Healthcare scheduling is a high-complexity B2B workflow: multiple roles, shifting rules, and data flowing across systems. This project shows how to tame that complexity without cutting power:
