Acritarchy
Acritarchy is a design collective based in New York City, interested in improving human habitat through the development of permeability in diverse disciplines.
Acritarchy's founder, James Andrew Billingsley, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in architecture and landscape architecture and was a visiting lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Design. He is the co-founder and editor of *Cline*, an independent journal focused on emerging voices in landscape architecture and related fields. Billingsley also won Second Prize in The Avery Review's annual essay competition for his article "An Arboretum at the End of an Epoch," which explores the complex landscapes of Greenland, and he serves as the blog editor for The Ian L. McHarg Center for Urbanism and Ecology.
